Jeff Ewens

PE, LEED AP

Principal | Office Director

Jeff Ewens, who joined ME Engineers in 2011, is a principal and leads the Kansas City office. Jeff relies on more than 25 years of experience with HVAC and hydronic system design, humidity control, and control systems in the delivery of collegiate and professional sports projects, large-scale commercial projects as well as natatoriums, recreational facilities and hospitality venues.

Excelling in science and math, he always loved taking things apart to see how they worked. His path to mechanical engineering crystallized in middle school with makeshift light sabers scraped together from the deconstructed parts of a science project. After a vigorous saber fight playing out scenes from Star Wars with a friend resulted in shorting out the electrical panel in his parents’ house, Jeff decided that mechanical engineering was the way to go. His university senior design project in an ASHRAE competition showed him he was on the right path.

Jeff was drawn to ME Engineers when he saw the firm’s name attached to big, iconic sports venues all across the world. In addition to his technical expertise and project experience, Jeff brings a fun and unique perspective to any project team he works with. His passion for his clients and his projects is evident through his genuine love of the job, and he is always willing to go the extra mile to meet his clients’ needs and expectations.
