Lyle Hays

PE, LEED AP

Senior Principal | Mechanical

Lyle Hays is a senior principal in the Denver office who started his career in 2004. Lyle has expertise in conventional and specialty mechanical systems, including energy recovery, medical gas systems, and other systems for healthcare facilities. He is effective in balancing design with budget and designing for the precise phasing requirements needed to keep critical care facilities in operation during renovations.

Lyle is a leader in high-rise core and shell office building design. He helps clients navigate the many MEP-related project decisions to help make a building sustainable and maintainable. He has also led the mechanical design on multiple sports venue projects.

Lyle’s path to his chosen field started with a university open house for high schoolers where he discovered architectural engineering. He was intrigued with a model exhibit of an arena that students were examining the MEP systems required to support a sports venue. He still loves being part of a project team to design these iconic venues, and Lyle finds ME’s approach forward-thinking in a way that makes for a fun, challenging, and exciting place to work.
