Principal

Charles has over 30 years of experience designing electrical systems for a broad array of challenging projects including educational facilities, corporate headquarters, financial institutions, sports facilities, cultural, governmental, hospitals, laboratories, and commercial spaces. From his youth, Charles knew he was destined for the engineering field because he instinctively knew, and could easily see, how mechanical machines were designed and assembled for ease of repair. It was 3 years after college when a client suggested a meeting with a consulting engineering friend. And from there, as Charles likes to say, “The profession found me.”

Charles is an electric utility service specialist. Examples of his work include the $1 billion renovation of Madison Square Garden, during which he brought increased value to the project by reducing construction costs using creative design and phasing strategies. One of his most notable achievements was establishing a path for the medium-voltage service feeders and pull boxes from Con Ed 8th Avenue manholes up to the 7th floor of MSG to serve six new electric transformer vaults. This critical element of the project solved the power needs with the path through Amtrak and Port Authority, one of the busiest transportation hubs in the world located beneath MSG. He repeatedly earns high client satisfaction and repeat business through developed trust, meaningful relationships, and creative solutions.

The caliber of people at ME Engineers is what drew Charles to the firm. He enjoys building upon that legacy by mentoring young engineers and helping them grow into successful professionals. His daily motivation is collaborating with building owners and architects to solve the toughest design challenges in the industry.
