Senior Principal | Managing Director

Scott Gerard is a senior principal and managing director of ME Engineers. He leads our electrical engineering group with a zest for his work that motivates teams and makes every project an adventure. His experience encompasses billions of dollars of construction in sports, commercial, and transportation projects.

As a youngster he was excited to see the buildings his father designed come to life and knew he wanted to have a career where he could share in that experience. He got his start at ME when he was just 18 and was encouraged and mentored by ME’s senior leaders all through college. Now, as a key principal he loves watching young engineers grow into their potential.

Scott brings unmatched enthusiasm and energy to his work and feels blessed to have a “dream job that is fun and exciting.” His responsibilities include determining and coordinating the electrical, lighting, and technology systems of a project with clients and managing the project throughout construction. He is finely attuned to each client’s needs and makes communication a priority.

With a comprehensive background that includes design, plant engineer, extensive work with contractors, and serving as an owner’s representative, Scott knows how to balance practical cost/benefit constraints while exploring innovative ways to create electrical and lighting systems that are sustainable, energy efficient, and maintenance-friendly for the client.
