Mike Tortorella
PE
Managing Principal
Mike Tortorella began his career with ME Engineers in 2005 and is a managing principal in our New York office. He is especially effective at crafting unique solutions for complex projects and brings a flexible, yet structured, approach to the design process. Mike places a strong emphasis on effective communication with both clients and staff, which helps him build long lasting relationships.
His wide range of design and construction experience includes sports facilities, health care facilities, office buildings, schools, museums, libraries, residences, specialty retail stores, restaurants and other commercial projects.
He works closely with architects, owners and construction managers to ensure that the mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems meet the project’s needs in a cost-effective manner. And he has proven his abilities to handle aggressive design schedules while minimizing the impact on day-to-day operations for clients.
Mike finds his projects challenging and rewarding, but he particularly enjoys mentoring young engineers and helping them develop professionally. Outside of work Mike spends his time enjoying his family, attending sporting events and traveling.
