Dave Groulx

Principal | Plumbing Director

Dave Groulx is a principal and ME Engineers’ plumbing director. Originally, his background in hands-on building construction and plumbing led him to an entry level drafting position in an engineering firm. From the start he knew he had found his profession.

His 35 years of experience includes managing and engineering plumbing systems and fire protection design with specialties such as lab gases, process piping, and chemical fire suppression systems. He has been a key resource in major sports projects such as the Madison Square Garden Transformation, Citi Field, Levi’s Stadium, and SunTrust Park. Dave has a passion for high profile work and the variety of projects that keeps him interested and challenged.

Dave was honored as the 2022 Design & Specifying Professional of the Year by Plumbing Engineer magazine. He attributes his success to not only hard work but help from so many people along the way. “Never forget to recognize that you never get anywhere by yourself. There are people along the path who sometimes push you, sometimes hold you up to get you where you are,” he says.
