Daniel Martin began his career as an electrician, gaining hands-on experience installing electrical systems before transitioning into engineering and technology design consulting. He enjoys seeing projects evolve from an idea on paper to a completed building, with opening day of a sports venue being the most rewarding part of the process.
His favorite project is Al Bayt Stadium, the first stadium he saw through from concept to completion. Its complexity made it one of the most challenging and rewarding projects of his career, and watching it host matches during the 2022 FIFA World Cup was an unforgettable career milestone.
When he’s not working Daniel enjoys staying active. He plays 11-a-side football in his local league and, although he says many of his opponents are half his age and can run rings around him, he’s determined to keep playing so he can share the pitch with his three sons.
