Chris Grundy
MEng
Principal | EMEA Technology Practice Director London
Chris started his career working in a start-up computer chip development company, and it was the opportunity to get involved in the planning and design of a new headquarters for this company that got him interested in technology and buildings. Since those early days, Chris has led technology consulting and design on over 300 new build or upgrade projects across multiple industry sectors and 20+ countries.
Chris leads the consulting and design of new and upgraded sports and entertainment venues, allowing him to blend his interest of football and sports in general with his professional expertise. His portfolio includes multi-use arenas, tennis campuses, football stadia, ice hockey and basketball arenas, horse racing venues, rugby stadia, esports facilities, aquatic center, immersive theatres, and training centres.
Chris helps clients to shape the overall technology strategy by providing owner’s representation services and technical project management for complex venues where technology is critical to fan experience, revenue generation, and security and safety concerns. He leads his team in designing integrated technology systems, collaborating closely with architectural and engineering disciplines to ensure they are seamlessly integrated into a venue. Chris also assists clients with procurement, installation oversight and commissioning to help deliver a fully operational venue.
