New 54,000-seat stadium for the New York Yankees
The New York Yankees celebrated their 27th World Championship at the new Yankee Stadium during its 2009 inaugural season. The new stadium’s design includes 54,000 seats and combines elements from the original stadium with new state-of-the-art features to give fans the ultimate game day experience. Additional amenities are located in the Great Hall, a 31,000 SF naturally ventilated atrium that contains retail, food and beverage options, and other pre- and post-game activities. Yankee Stadium was one of the largest buildings of its time to be fully coordinated during design and construction using BIM.
