$40 million upgrade to this 15,000 seat community arena and part-time home of the UConn Huskies
The $40 million upgrade included refurbishing existing mechanical and electrical systems. Concourses, concessions, restrooms and locker rooms were updated. The project added a lounge area behind the goal, a locker room for the UConn hockey team, and new ribbon boards and scoreboard. In 2017 the ice sheet was replaced.
