Major regional hospital located in a residential neighborhood presented complex design challenges
The new 470,000 SF hospital includes a 300-bed Acute Care Medical Center with 160,000 SF for nursing wings, a 280,000 SF diagnostic and treatment building, and a 26,000 SF central plant. A residential setting with strict city design guidelines imposed unique aesthetic challenges. The central plant was designed to minimize the impact of plant discharge on the campus and surrounding neighborhood.
