Denver Art Museum Martin Building Renovation and Sie Welcome Center Addition
Denver, CO, United States
Completed in time to mark the building’s 5oth anniversary
The extensive renovation of the historic Martin Building encompasses 225,000 square feet of gallery, classroom, event, storage, office, and back-of-house spaces. Due to the building’s landmark status, both the original structure and distinctive glass tile façade were preserved throughout the project.
Upgraded mechanical systems feature advanced HVAC technologies, including desiccant dehumidification, steam heating, and clean steam humidification. A striking addition to the site, the new 50,000 SF, three-story curved glass welcome center serves as a entry point for visitors and houses a restaurant, cafe, and event hall.
