Ellie Caulkins Opera House
Denver, CO, United States
The Ellie provides state-of-the-art acoustics and uninterrupted sight lines
The 2,400-seat, four-level theatre and support spaces are housed within the historic shell of the Quigg Newton Denver Municipal Auditorium, originally opened in 1908 and untouched since the mid-1950s. With the project requiring a full interior demolition, a highly creative design and construction approach was essential. The theatre is purpose-built for non-amplified, natural acoustics.
