ME served as the owner’s representative for the project. Design-build. LEED Gold certified.

    This complete rehabilitation of a 94-bed dormitory facility included a total overhaul of all MEP systems associated with the basement office and utility spaces as well as the three floors of dormitory space including new lighting design with high efficiency LED fixtures, a new fire alarm system, a new electrical distribution system, emergency power system, and new telecommunications and television system backbones and branch cabling.

    This $160 million multi-site residence hall exemplifies cost-effective sustainability. At 335,000 sf with 1088 beds, the design features highly efficient daylighting and building envelope. A particular challenge was attaining higher LEED certification than the original silver target due to the complexity of the program and budget limitations. The firm provided mechanical engineering services. LEED Platinum certified.
